Public hearings are important mechanisms for reinforcing public accountability and transparency. Participants in this 90-minute class will learn:

  • An overview of the context of public hearings
  • How to plan for the three stages of effective public hearings
  • A six-step process for conducting public hearings effectively
  • A review of select public participation strategies for enhancing public hearing processes and outcomes
